Elevated Living: Never Stop The Fight

Elevated Living is about more than just food, more than just organizing. It’s not so much “trendy,” in a sense of a ‘state of being’ or a ‘way of life,’ as much as it is about a lens, or perspective with which to navigate through it. Like a ship, a sailboat perhaps, as my icon demonstrates. Learning to sail the rough waters, seeking safety and sanctuary in safe harbors when abound. Guided by the lighthouses that are ourselves and loved ones.

Because that is what is happening. This life, albeit beautiful, is a rough one, a tough one, not always calm waters with dolphins gallantly diving alongside. At times there are sharks, ready to feed. More so, there are times the waters are so dark we know not the difference of the fins laying in the waters below, and need faith in the form of a lighthouse of some kind to deliver us safely to the shore.

I feel like society is that water. The well in which we are constantly compared and judged upon a fantasy of fallacy and expectations no one has really ever achieved. Or if they have really even appeared to, it’s through rose colored glasses. I feel like we are defined and given statuses not based in our new reality. Whereas an entire global economy has shifted,  yet societal norms remain the same.

How is it that times have changed; but we haven’t?

I always come back to a favorite quote of mine from e. e. cummings:

“To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.”

The fight to invest in oneself, without comparison, or judgement, or ridicule, or guilt and wholeheartedly know and fundamentally believe that you did nothing but gave it your all, and continue to do so is a daily battle. Sailing this ship into unchartered waters and territory. To navigate by the stars when the sky is cloudy. This is the fight we must fight, and more importantly remember that we are all fighting. So be kind to yourself and others. And remember, this is why you need to find ways to; Elevate Your Day. Adieu mes amis.

Until then, keep finding ways to “Elevate Your Everyday”
